Crack in little black wheel on the derailer

Hi guys i have a touring bike with an LX rear derailer i just found a crack in one of the wheels i will replace both but my question is is there any better quality ones or will the LX do the job? EG is it worth putting XT on I JUST WANT RELIABILITY when i am out in the middle of no where i do carry a large load on my bike cheers

I'd just replace it with another LX part. There is nothing to gain by upgrading. If the parts aren't identical up the line, the only difference would be a few micrograms. You could opt for the high tech ceramic bearing pulley wheels, or you could spend that $$$ on four days worth of food on tour, and still get the LX replacement parts.

LX should be fine. Some of the catalogue places advertise replacements of made of various materials. Since you're replacing both pulleys, and if I recall, the top pulley has a slight bit of float to it, so make sure you don't mix them up.
