KC Airport to Clinton MO. Advice

Hey all,

A buddy and I are planning on ridding the Katy towards the end of September. I was wondering if anybody had any advice on getting from the airport in KC to start of the trail? We're up for ridding or a shuttle. If anybody has ridden it what route did you take?

We plan to fly into KC get down to the start somehow, ride the trail, box up our bikes in St Charles and fly back via St Louis.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I live in KC and tried to Google map it but the Google map didn't even have any Bicycle Route suggestions! What a crock!

Getting out of the KC Airport might be a little tricky because of the surrounding highways. Give me a minute and I'll come up with something...

I'll send you a pm.

The problems are all the interstates. You may be able to go under I29 East. Then take a side road to make connections from there. the interstate highways have a 45 MPH minimum so don't get hooked up that way. Good luck. Blues frog.

You may want to check on an airport shuttle to Clinton, Mo. The local Chamber of Commerce would be a good resource:

I plan to check out the Katy Trail as soon as I build up my Fargo. Clinton is about an hour drive in a car and the trail should provide a good test ride.

Perhaps you should try this link for a bike route suggestion from Google maps.
