The newest rig in its ridable but not quite finished setup. Tubus racks are not installed yet... Completely in love with the Rolfhoff hub, well worth it so far. Just beginning to tweak the bike to my comfort right now, hense the uncut steering tube. Needs to be raised up a bit still.
May have to do some adjustments to rear sprocket. Finding I'm easily running out of gears on flat ground, but I've had no chance to try the bike full loaded.
Disc brake on the front, rim brake on the back to hopefully to simplify rack installation and give me options in the repair department.... Works for Thorn, works for me.

Just noticed the fancy schmancy chain that.matches the frame, cool. I'm too pragmatic for a detail like that but it still looks cool.

My Troll has no clearance issues with racks, discs and fenders...anyway, that's a sweet looking one in those pics. I love looking at other Troll setups.

Just took the bike out on it's first semi loaded trip with about 22 pounds of (paintball) gear. No issues whatsoever and a pure joy to ride.

not exactly fully loaded, but here's my barely broken in Windsor Tourist after a trip to Target for a new toaster oven, some pillows and other provisions.
Rode the last block home with the spreader in hand. A neighbor put it out at the end of their driveway. I spread lime that afternoon, and now I'll probably put it at the end of my driveway.
so far I like the bike. It only has about 200 miles on it, just errands. I did not get to do any over-nighters last summer. Hopefully this summer I will.
if anyone is interested, those are Pasela 35c tires and Planet Bike fenders. Other than those changes, a Ritchey stem with wider bars, and a Blackburn Mtn Rack, the bike is as-is from BD.

pillows and toaster oven may be overkill on a trip, however one can never underestimate the utility of a seed spreader while on tour. Johnny Appleseed wouldn't have been caught dead without one.

Wow, I love all these photos. Some phenomenal looking bikes. Well I should contribute some, though I must warn you, the photos were taken on my first touring trip. Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Grand Beach, Manitoba, Canada and back (about 250 km, including some local riding).

RB1-luvr, what kind of front rack do you have on your Windsor? It looks like it should work well and may be somewhat adjustable for differences in distance between fork end braze-on and mid-fork braze-on.

I'm sorry, I wish I knew. It's been 5+ years since my LBS ordered that rack for my previous touring bike, and I don't remember what brand it is. I don't think there's a brand marking on it anywhere either. But if I see one, I'll edit this reply at some point.

HA, not quite. The bike is loaded for touring the country all summer doing a documentary about bicycle co-ops and cyclo-touring. The trailer is my truck and I am hauling my only bit of possesions to my moms to store while I am on the road. This would be one hell of a load to take across the 9,000 miles or so I have planned.

Here I am with my two sons (9 and 5) on the Erie Canal. With people gear food and bike we come in at 470 pounds. Heavy but fun. If you take out the people and bikes we have about 25 pounds of gear a piece. Bike is a CoMotion tandem with a Burley Trail a Bike.

My bike is the green beach cruiser. The panniers are some sort of old military surplus canvas bags I got for 7 bucks a piece. Plan on doing some real touring this summer if I can after replacing a couple of components.
