British Airways baggage policy :D :D

I just sent this email to BA customer relations... I have no affiliation with British Airways...

    "Dear BA,

I just wanted to send you my compliments on your baggage policy! I regularly fly with a guitar, a bicycle or both and as I am sure you well know, this has been increasingly difficult in recent years without incurring excessive extra charges.

Allowing a guitar in addition to hand baggage, and bikes to be taken within the weight allowance regardless of size, shows just how customer orientated and reasonable you are compared to any other airline I can think of!

Once again THANK YOU - I will soon be booking my next trip to New-Zealand with you... and will spread this endorsement in the music and bicycling community.

    Yours Sincerely"

whoops I may have been a bit quick there... I've now sent this as well:

"... however upon looking closer at my planned booking GOT-CHC-BKK-GOT I saw that some of the flights are code shared by Quantas Jetconnect. Do the BA baggage regulations apply on these segments or can I expect problems when checking my bicycle in and carrying my guitar onboard?...

I'll let you know if BA respond (I hope this is of interest to others)
