Goretex pants

This is the best deal I have seen on Goretex pants. I just ordered some. If you are even thinking about it you have to jump fast because these clearance things a stp go fast. I wear L in most things, but I actually prefer XL for rain pants to avoid binding, so this was just what I have been looking for.

Should be perfect for my whisky tour of Scotland, eh, what?

Wow, didn't realize how expensive goretex really is. I mean, I had an idea it was expensive but not THAT expensive. I use frogg toggs, $30 for a complete set. Lighter than goretex and work wonderfully. Hard wearing too.

I hope no one followed this particular advice. I was very disappointed when I received these pants. Though well made they were NOT Goretex and, though the website and even the package said reversible they did not look so to me. Certainly they were not the orange color depicted on the website. I have ordered from stp many times. I have sent an item or two back from time to time because of fit or some other normal issue. This is the first time I have ever been downright angry at a gross misrepresentation. I called to register my dissatisfaction. To their credit they are crediting all shipping costs. I will still purchase from stp as I am sure this was just a mistake. I have been very satisfied with the quality, pricing, and service I have always received from them. I guess that is part of the reason I was so shocked at this snafu.
Regards,
Raymond

Rainman,
You may be touring the highlands sooner than you think. I have been buying a brand of rain pant in Canada called Misty Mountain. They are not branded Gortex, but I have a Gortex jacket and they have a similar 3 layer construction and they stuff into the back pocket. The first pair I bought first had no Scotchlite strips. I just bought another pair for $CAN25 and they have the reflective strip down the side. I highly recommend them. Work well, cost less that a bottle of single malt.

Cheers.

Stokell,
Website, please!

I just received some Goretex pants I ordered from sportsmansguide.com. $19.95, used German military, olive drab. If these are used I sure can't tell. They are lightweight in excellent condition, suspenders of modern nylon with plastic buckles. I am thrilled at the deal. But I will send them back in a minute for something like you describe. these are a little more bulky.
FWIW,
Raymond
