An unexpected benefit of S&S couplers

I'm currently on tour in the UK, Invararay,Scotland, to be exact. The weather is beautiful!

I plan to take the bus up to Oban tomorrow but they may not take bikes on the bus. But, if I break the bike apart and put it in a bag, they will take it as luggage. I got some "bin" bags and intent to ride to the bus stop, uncouple the bike, tie it together, and bag it for the 1 hour trip north. Ill put it back together once I'm in Oban.

Without the couplers, I'd have to rely on the goodness of the driver.

+ you can hide stuff in your frame tubes..

Have taken several ferries from Ayr, stopping and riding the inner Hebrides islands.
camp/ hostel[Islay] overnighting. then landing in Oban.

I stowed my whole bike in the luggage hold of a Bus in Ireland. County Kerry.
It was a huge compartment. in the back.
because the motor was underneath the seats
In the middle, between the front and rear wheels.
still plenty of room for the backpacker's gear on top of the bike.

raybo, S+S are not something I would really ever consider getting, but its great to see that they are fullfilling their function for you.
