New Old Stock 2009 Novara Randonee 52 at REI in LA.

I was on tour last week and had to stop in the Manhattan Beach (Rosecrans Ave.) REI for something. I was amazed to find a 52cm Randonee (the green one, the last one they sold before discontinuing them) right there in the bike rack. And, it was $799. And they either are about to have or just had a 20% off for members sale. (I can't remember when the saleslady said it was, as I was just starting my tour and am just getting back to civilization.)

Anyway, no affiliation, but if you liked the old Tiagra STI version of the Randonee, I doubt there are many new ones left in the world.

Got my '09 Randonee (brand spanking new from REI fresno) for only $599 +tax. It's their last old stock that fit my size :-) The moss green color has grown on me somehow, haha. Very comfortable and "sure footed" bike compared to my other two rides (thanks to the steel frame/fork and wider tires?).

By the way, there are still 2 left with the same $599 clearance price. A Medium and XS (extra small) at the Fresno store if anyone is interested. The 2010 are also on sale at $709 and has a better dark blue color. But I liked the full Tiagra grupo (including hubs, etc) on the 2009 (and cheaper price), that's why I picked it.
