It's not a very bright light. I'd also be worried about longevity of the wires from connecting and disconnecting them frequently.

A B&M IQ Cyo is about $110 and is bolted on. If you are really concerned with theft of the light, you could modify the bolts.

Doesn't need to be incredibly bright, plenty of street lights in NYC so it's more about helping me be more visible to cars. I'll definately consider something more robust for actual nighttime riding if I plan to do that and need to illuminate the road in front of me.
