Touring in South Korea: VIDEO
I don't think I ever got around to posting this video. It was taken about two years ago when I took a friend out for her first bike camping trip. I have never been much for using the video feature on my camera but she loves it and compiled a nice video after we got back. I liked it so much that this year, when I rode from Beijing to New Delhi, I took a lot more video than I would have otherwise and am thankful for it. I just thought I would post this for her.
I am the dude riding the bike in front of her and sometimes even holding the camera. We rode about 80k to a dry river bed where we met a group of motorcycling friends who camped there with us. The next morning we ate breakfast and rode back. Keep those videos coming!

Thanks for that. It brought back many good memories of riding there during one of the years I lived in South Korea.

I was pretty impressed too. Her camera was nothing fancy and I think she just used windows movie maker. I am working on my own video now from my trip through China, Tibet, Nepal, and India.

I actually bought parts to build a touring bike thinking I would start by touring small towns and villages around my area so I would build up the courage to go longer and longer distances. I really admire the fact that some people have the courage to go out there and explore foreign countries on a bicycle. I mean the insects carrrying foreign diseases, weather conditions, bike thieves... And doing miles and miles on a cruiser? Wow, cruisers put me in a position that hurt my knees. I can ride hybrids and mountain bikes but cruisers, not that much. haha

We are both English tachers in South Korea and have lived here for nearly three years each. However, this video was from when I first arrived so it did feel very adventurouse at the time and was my first tour outside of North America.
