Bilenky "Tourlite"
Looking to finally get a high-quality frameset and build up that dream bike. I will use the bike for weekend and club rides, light touring, as well as general fitness riding. After looking at some of the usual suspects (Rivendell Atlantis, Bruce Gordon Rock n' Road, Waterford/Heron, Co-Motion Nor'wester) I think I've settled on the "Tourlite" from Bilenky Cycles (Steve Bilenky) in Philadelphia, PA. I spoke with Steve himself, and he seems great. Sounds like he will pretty much build the frame to suit, so that it will approach a full custom,.
Anyone have any experience with the Bilenky "Tourlite", or Bilenky Cycles in general, that they would be willing to share?

No personal experience per se but I do know Steven & Co. make great bicycles so you won't be disappointed.
I know a couple people that own Bilenky's-one a tandem and the other a solo tourer-and both of them are as pleased as punch with their cycles, their experiences with Bilenky in general and particularly Steven himself.
Update here as you progress along with your plans... you're going to have a great bicycle.

When I was recovering from my accident and thinking of how to replace my beloved C'Dale T2000, I spent some time on the phone with Steve. (1994) I have always regretted not having him build me a bike, and I hope I will fulfil that wish someday.
