Very sad to read about that. Seems to have fell off his bike 3 times during a training ride right before the tour, so something physically was wrong before he started the tour. But he died doing what he loved doing, bicycling, and no one can fault him for that. R.I.P. - George Kohler

IMO, it is inaccurate to state that "Death Valley claims another victim." He died in Death Valley, but it doesn't sound like being in Death Valley is what killed him.

Right - if someone died while doing something physical in San Diego you wouldn't see the headline "San Diego claims another victim"... but people die while doing physical things in San Diego, I imagine.
