700c availability in Israel?

We have a customer who will be moving to Israel soon and he currently rides a bike with 700c wheels and I mentioned to him it would not be a bad idea to research parts availability before spending the money to have the bike shipped over. Not sure if he will or not but he should be coming back to the shop at least once before he leaves and I would like to have some answers from people who have actually cycled through the area before. Are there actually a few options for 700c wheels/tires over there? He has more of a hybridy 700c bike so he would be looking for some of the wider (30mm+) 700c options.

I know parts of Asia can be very hit or miss on sizes other than 26in but Israel is pretty heavily populated so I was not sure if it was an issue or not but I do think it is something worth looking into, even if he does not come back I am just curious either way.

Thanks in advance.

I have biked in Israel, but not in almost 10 years. However, I am closely in touch with the organizers of the Israel Ride, which supports the Arava Institute. (The Arava Institute is an accredited environmental studies program located at Kibbutz Ketura in the south that enrolls students from Israel, the occupied territories, a few Arab countries, and western countries.)

Bicycling has surged in popularity in Israel in recent years, especially mountain biking, and a national cycling route is partially complete. Unfortunately, the roads in populated areas are overburdened with traffic and the drivers are terrible.

Both 26" and 700cc tires are readily available in urban centers like Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem.

Feel free to ask me any more questions about cycling in Israel, and I will find an Israeli (which I am not) who can answer them for you.
