Well over a year ago, I started this thread. I want to thank everyone for their advice and help in putting together the massive undertaking that is a cross country bike ride for charity. We had the time of our lives last summer, raised $25,000 ourselves for Phoenix Children's Hospital with an estimated $20,000 more dwindling in from the PCH Foundation's mailer they sent out in September, and yesterday our ride journal was added as the featured journal on Crazy Guy on a Bike. I miss the road and every day find myself thinking about one of the thousands of memories I have from the ride. Best experience of my life to date.

So, THANK YOU ALL!!!

Congrats! I am glad it worked out well. Looks like you had a great trip and raised a good bit of money for a good cause.

Daily Astorian Newspaper writers see 'we are riding across the (anywhere) for charity' claims so often ,

they , She , actually .. one editorial assistant write a friday column.. including that stuff..
is pleased when talking to people without a hook of 'I'm Riding for X charity'..

just ride the bike .. and enjoy the trip.
