Carridice SQR bags
does anyone have experience with carridice SQR bags. Do they hold much, more than the typical trunk rack? and does the quick release work well? I need a bag for extended day trips or overnight credit card touring would appreciate recommendations. I like the fact that these could be moved from one bike to another if needed.

I don't any of the SQR specific bags, but I do have the Pendle and Camper bags with SQR adapters. I am very happy with my bags. The Camper is the largest of their bags and is plenty big enough for credit card touring. I rode about a week and a half self supported with lightweight tent, sleeping bag, etc (no cooking gear) using a Camper bag and a front bag last year. The Camper will hold quite a bit more than the typical trunk bag. It has some tie downs on the flap as well that work great for holding extra stuff.
The SQR system is great. It takes no more than a couple seconds to install or release a bag. When one the bike, they are quite secure and in no danger of accidental release.
I use my bags daily for commuting and shopping. The Pendle is about two years old, the Camper one year old, and they both are still in excellent condition.

I've just bought the Carradice SQR Tour bag, but have not used it yet. The bag looks great, very strong build, not too heavy and has enough space for light weight touring.
I've bought because on my Trek 5500 you can't put any rack on it (no holes in frame).
When the weather will be better, I will do a tour with it and tell my experiences
