Bikes: More bicycles than I can ride at one time: 2 custom made tourers, a Brompton 6-speed, and an Indian-made roadster.

Touring Ireland AND where to store the bikes when using a car or public transpo ...

My travelling companion and I will be travelling Ireland this July - August and I want to do some bucket-list stuff, like Mallen to Mizzen and some more. She has done only one supported bicycling tour in Germany/Austria...

Yesterday when discussing, she asked, do we bring ours, or do we rent?

I (naturally) want to use my arvon2 custom built folder because it fits me and Arvon built it for... well ... for touring, but then while we are doing other types of travels that use cars and public transpo, and walking, ... where do I/we store the bike(s)?

Any suggestions? We will use a combination of Hostels, local pubs and B&Bs. No tenting this time... Too much strain on the relationship

Strain is to be avoided unless making reinforced concrete or building muscle strength/stamina - none of which apply to us ...

just leave your gear in the b/b if your going to be looking around a particular area or if the hired car is big enough in the boot.

The boot is useless - from past experiences. however, the idea of asking the accomodation to store the bikes - with the proviso of a confrmed booking on RETURN is with merit ...

Yes, the car will be a small rental so space in it will be at a premium. OTOH, it seems leaving the bike(s) at a hostel or B&B will be an option.
TIA.
