"Pushing My Weight Around" - Introduction to a Solo Performance Bike Touring Piece

In 2012, I got an announcement for a Solo Performance workshop. On a whim, I decided to attend the workshop with the idea of creating a presentation on Bicycle Touring. Essentially, I wanted to collect all the stories that I liked to tell about the various bike tours I've taken into a single set piece.

Unfortunately, due to family health reasons, I wasn't able to finish the workshop (whose last class was a 10 minute performance!). I did create a concept for how I wanted to stage the piece and wrote an introduction, which you can read here.

I still fantasize about finishing this some day and actually performing it. But, for the moment, it is still mostly fantasy.

I'd be interested in your comments. Has anyone else done anything like this?

Cool! Why don't you finish it , regardless if you actually do the performance or not.

What I posted was the part that I had edited and read aloud several times and felt was reasonably solid. The rest of it, another 10 pages, is a bit too raw still and needs works. Maybe posting it here was a way to get myself to put some more work into it!
