My two video's about touring Europe (11.000km)
Hey touring friends,
I'd like to share my two video's about my cycling trips in Europe in 2010 and 2011. I hope some of you like it.

Ralf,
They look like really interesting videos, but the adds on the site are interfering with the viewing.
I don't know about the other folks, but the adds on the site are cutting off half of your video. Maybe if you leave your original post and then post a second time we can see the entire field.
Maybe someone knows a fix around this problem?

Thank you for the info.
I will post them again without any text, let's see if it's working. Otherwise you simply click on the title on top of the first video and you come directly to youtube.

Ralf,
Excellent videos. The section from Strasbourg to Valencia brought back memories from a tour my wife and I did in 2011. It was essentially part of our 4800 km route from Lisbon to The Netherlands. However, we did a short detour into Switzerland.
I also learned something about viewing YouTube videos
Thanks for posting.

What camera did you use for the video?
Awesome videos Ralf, I've watched them twice each! Great quality video too -- what camera did you use may I ask and was the video HD?

Award worthy videos! Thank you for posting them. The ads were a nuisance but disappeared on full screen which is the best way to watch. Really felt your experience. Thanks again and enjoy many further adventures. Noel Reed

Great videos Ralf. I really enjoyed them. I can't wait for May to do my long awaited "Germany Tour" from Frankfurt to Munich. I've always wanted to see Bavaria, so what better way to do it than by bicycle. Thanks for sharing, I really really liked them. Oh, also nice bike. Koga is a very solid piece of engineering. How much weight did you have in the back (rear panniers and bag)?

Hi, I'm glad you liked the videos. I used the digital camera Casio Exilim EX-H20. The videos were in HD. I bought that little camera in 2010 for 200€ and was very happy with it.

Oh wow. 40kgs is quite a bit of weight. Good on ya. I'm building a new touring bike myself. It's not exactly a Koga, but pretty decent. I'm getting a Surly LHT Deluxe (the one that has the S&S couplers so I can break the bike down and fit in a standard airline check-in bag. The components are all decent quality and all in all, I should end up with a nice touring machine. I have some things to buy still and I'm not sure if I should buy them in Canada or in Germany. I'm looking at a Ortlieb bag that goes on top of the rear panniers and also a 1 person tent. I looked at this company in Germany (I found 2 stores in Frankfurt and I think there's one in Munich). The store is called "Globetrotter". Do you know anything about it?

Would you recommend this store or something different? What trips have you got planned for this year?
Cheers
