Saw this on craigslist today

Looks like a nice bike at a nice price, but I thought I'd get a few opinions before pulling the trigger. I don't know much about touring bikes and if there are any quirks or problems with older cannondales I should take into consideration before picking one up for long hauling.

My advice is buy them both before they disappear. You can always figure troubleshoot any problems you have later. If I lived closer to OH, I'd be there with cash in hand,

Edit: It's hard finding good quality used touring bikes and this is a more than reasonable price for that bike.

I might pay $100 for the tourer, but the mtb definitely isn't worth $175.

I think you might be right that the MTB was a bit overpriced given that rigid mountain bikes don't go for much but you're kidding on the touring bike right? That's a very decent old school touring bike that appears, from the pics, to be in good shape.
