Has anyone experienced the bus from Santa Cruz to San Jose?
Hi,
My girlfriend and I are planning to embark on a little weekend tour from San Francisco to Santa Cruz. Once in Santa Cruz on Sunday we plan on taking the bus back to San Jose where we'll catch a train back to Oakland.
With that said, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience taking bikes on the Santa Cruz to San Jose bus. I guess I'm afraid that we'll arrive at the bus stop and there will be no more space on the bike racks.
Your comments and suggestions are appreciated,
Tom

If it's local transit with only space for two bikes on the rack, yes, you could be stiffed and have to wait for the next bus. Some rural transit buses here in San Diego County allow you to call ahead and reserve space on the rack...you'd have to research the San Jose bus yourself.
