Hi there,

I am planning to make my second tour beginning September. I'll be riding for about 2-3 weeks and I'm thinking about going to Norway. I would probably trace a circular route of about 750 kms starting and finishing in Bergen.

Since the idea a to mainly wild/campsite camping with the occasional b&b, weather is my main concern as I'll be spending most of the time outdoors.

Has anyone been around there in September? Could you give me some advice on how the weather is like?

I cycled for 2 weeks in the mid/north of Scotland last September and I think the lowest temps were about 8 or 9 degrees (Celsius) so I wonder if it is going to be much much worse than that.

Any other thing in particular you think I should consider?

I rode the coastal route from Oslo to Bergen in Sept. I ran of of summer at the end of the month but up till then it was pretty good. Conditions are pretty similar to Scotland so hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
You can camp wild but in some more developed places, finding a location is tricky. People are very helpful pointing out useful campsites.
Norway can be expensive unless you like smoked mackeral.
