Think of buzzing by your touring buddies at 19 mph while carrying 100 lbs of gear for a couple hours of the day.

Hmmm, reduce the cargo area by tripling the battery capacity and you'll have near 50 mile range! Never have to pedal or exercise the entire tour, just lean back and have a brew while the scenery changes. Now we're talking touring ;-)

After the first 4 hours of riding I would be lugging a flat battery pack and dead weight each day even with the extended capacity....

I love it, but why go part-way? A 500hp Boss Hoss trike towing an Airstream with solar panels and HD satellite TV would be the ultimate extension of what the Ridekick is the beginning of.
