Asymmetric Brooks seat

I got this touring bike a couple of months ago, which came with a Brooks seat. I am currently on my long tour down the west coast and I've recently noticed that the seat is no longer symmetric. It's maybe a little hard to see on the photo, but the left side is a much lower than the right. Does that mean the seat is problematic, or my bum is asymmetric? It's still comfortable, but I can feel its back metal part on my bum a bit, as the leather sinks in at that part.

Also before the tour I did some basic fitting on the bike it self and as far as I understand, everything starts from how you sit on the seat. Yesterday I noticed that I can sit a little further ahead on the seat and the metal part doesn't bother me as much. So I am wondering if I should move the seat a bit further back, so I can change which part of the seat I am using. Would that be a good idea you think?

thank you

pelvises are not made in factories , you are not symmetrical.

its adapting to your body..

How is it, riding?

leg length discrepancy you didn't know you had. My Brooks is the same way after very few miles. Sometimes they can be corrected, I've never tried. In the past, I have problems with the knee on the short leg and thought about wedges and the like, but strengthening my leg muscles seems to have fixed the problem.

My Brooks saddles are definitely not symmetric. One divot is a lot deeper than the other. But then I know I've got a leg length discrepancy, and my pelvic bones don't sit straight.

If you are comfortable, don't change anything. If you're not comfortable, you might want to try to move the saddle to a slightly different position. Key word = slightly.

I think this can be due to factors like your anatomy and/or bike fit. I have a Brooks saddle on a bike that is a bit on the large side fo me so I've messed with the stem and saddle position over the years and that saddle is definitely asymmetrical. But my other bikes that fit me a bit better don't show the same lobsided saddle shape.

I'll just add that I've discovered that I like the nose of my saddles to be slightly off-centre. For some reason that is more comfortable for me. You might try that as well.

My legs are the same length, but one knee is a mess, and my brookses all look like yours.

Thank you for all the input. I moved the seat a touch back and I now sit a little forward. Today though I started developing a strange pain at the back on my left knee... so I should probable try to move it forward again to see if the pain will go away.

I was also thinking that my bum may be asymmetric due to the fact that I always have a wallet in my back right pocket. So maybe over the years my right side is always a little higher, which translates to that shape on the brooks, when I cycle without the wallet on.
