A Complete List of Touring Bicycle Manufacturers with Pricing
So we went on a bit of a mission and made a big list. We hope that this resource is useful, and would love to hear from you if we've missed any manufacturer or builder who offers complete touring bikes.

Nicely done.
Adventure Cycling published a more-or-less complete list for the U.S. up until this year; I thought it was a valuable resource, but I guess the editor didn't.
I doubt it's possible within any reasonable kind of budget, but I'd love to see a list of bicycle dealers who carry production touring bikes. If it's "production" you might think it'd be possible to test ride one (or more), but in most of the U.S. you have to order a touring bike sight unseen.

It would be interesting to see a list of frame manufacturers as well...
Soma Saga
Salsa Fargo
Surly Long Haul Trucker
All-City Space Horse
(Nashbar Touring if they continue to sell it)

I guess anybody who could sell you the whole bike could get you a bare frame instead, if that's what you wanted.
I'm not sure the Fargo is solo in it's class like the article suggested. Co-Motion makes a 29er touring bike... the Divide, or something like that? I like it.

Nice job! Nice that you found so many positives with the vast majority of the bikes. That, or there just really isn't a bad bike out there! Which really just goes to prove that if you want to tour, just get on a bike and ride-you'll get there.........eventually! It's not the equipment, it's the operator.

Excellent list, and very informative.
One thing I would point out is that under American bikes you list the "Gunner" Grand Tour. The company is actually Gunnar. Gunnar is named after the late dog of the owner, Richard Schwinn.
Anybody who names their company after their dog is to be okay in my book. Must be why I own two of them. Excellent bikes, by the way.

I believe almost every country in the world (except perhaps the Netherlands and Germany) order in touring bikes for customers unseen!
