Let us try to return to substantive and reasonably mature on-topic posts.

We were. It was you who asked an open-ended question which I responded to on-topic. You then decided to make ignorant assertions against what I actually use everytime I go out, everytime I tie my boat to the roof rack and so on. You were the one who continued to make baseless assertions, and when confronted with those, you made even more. You now pretend you are acting "mature" and "substantive". You come across as anything but either of those.

Ah yes, holding you responsible for your own ignorance and unfounded assertions is a bad thing. I realise it's a waste of energy as you will never learn, but it doesn't change the fact that you have not backed up a single one of your ridiculous assertions.

When I really need to lash something down, I use 1" tubular webbing, at 4500 lbs breaking strength. It does the job

All my climbing protection is laced with 5 mm spectra cord. As was stated, you just learn the knots that work with the cord, e.g., triple wrap double fisherman's knot rather than a double wrap.

One falsehood after another. Would you kindly stop hijacking my thread with your angry little fits, small. It's just petty. Get over it.

4500 lbs should do it.

Needs a good nights rest.
