Suntour Components c1985

Hey, my bike has Suntour Cyclone MKII deraileurs, on both front and back. Does this ring a bell for anybody and do you think, assuming they are still in good shape, that they are good equipment? Anybody have any links to some product reviews?

I've got Sun Tour Superbe components on a road bike of that era, and with tens of thousands of miles on them; everything but the rear deralieur is still working fine. Don't know much about the Cyclone MKII, but my view with these things I never "upgrade" till I have to. Hope your derailuers give you years of fun! They just might.

I've got those components on two of my bicycles. Those bicycles are also circa 1985 or so. :D

I've put a lot of miles on both bicycles and the components are, for the most part, still in decent condition.

SunTour made excellent components. Unless you have an itch for index shifting or a gearing combination they won't handle, there's no point in upgrading.

Suntour made the best shifiting stuff I have ever used.

Raced with Superbe Pro for years and have Cyclones (the real ones) on a touring
and mountain bike. ll work as well as when they were new in the mid 80's.
Stuck a Mark 2 on my old racing bike so I could have a 26 or 28, and it
works really well too.
