It's called the Twin Bridges Bike Camp. Was just there for two days. Last Monday and Tuesday. Sorry I missed you. Enjoying the skeeters? I left some repellant in the cabinet on the wall if you need some. Watch out for storms. Five of us where there when a wicked storm blew through on Tuesday evening. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph and gusts much higher. Two of my panniers nearly got blown into the river. My tent was leaning past 45 degrees. Hope you left a donation.

I did the northern tier some years back and thought that western MT was probably the most beautiful part of the whole ride. I'd like to do another one of these days. Have fun and ride safe.

Just got back from a 9-day loop from/to Missoula. I have also done the entire NT and the western part to Glacier a second time. Twin Bridges is on the Trans Am and Lewis & Clark Routes. More passes in that area than on the NT. I went off the TA and added some more, although none of them matches Logan Pass in Glacier N.P.

Twin Bridges has a beautiful facility. If you're headed toward Ennis, though, leave early in the morning. I think they turn the headwind on about 1:00.

The Skeeter's chased us off the road before Silver Star and into the PO! Once we got the repellent on we were good to go. Just glad we did not get a flat!

Heh. I took a photo of my ride in front of Granny's County Store/post office. I headed up MT 41 to MT 2 to climb Pipestone Pass to Butte. Hope you didn't plan on staying in Wisdom. The skeeters there are far worse. They were better at Jackson.

We are camped here in Jackson. A bit pricey but we did not want to go further as we did a side trip to Bannack State Park.

BTW...When I stayed in Missoula on 6/28, the KOA--the only place to camp in town--was completely full down to the last tent site. If you plan to go there, I recommend a reservation. To get there from ACA headquarters, head west on Broadway, make a left on Palmer, right on N. Reserve, left on England and right on Tina. If you need supplies, you can literally see the back of the REI from the campground office. It's in a strip mall on N. Reserve just north of the intersection with England.
