Tips for equipment

Hi,
I am new here, and new in bike touring
I would like to have a two weeks tour in the Alps on July. Full equipment. ~70Km/day. I would like to have some tips of "must have" equipment and clothing for that trip
Will appreciate your insights
NN

Something that will keep you warm if you get caught in a cold rain at altitude and have to descend for many miles.

Bikes: I tour on a Waterford Adventurecycle. It is a fabulous touring bike.

Define "Full equipment."

Wool cycling jerseys would be my recommendation.

I did a 12 day ride around Switzerland in 2009 (journal here). Great place to tour.

Buy the bike route map. Better yet, ride a national bike route where the entire way will be signed.

You need to give us something to go on. Will you be camping or staying in hotels?

Look at your gear ratios on your bike, and determine if they are adequate for the grades you will encounter.

We used a low of 17 gear inches, and it was barely adequate for some of the grades; especially when we accidentally got onto one of the mountain bike routes.
