yup!
baranoski's obviously upped his game this year, but he's also had his fair share of luck. Take a look at how far back he is, super late - and just surfs this extremely late wave to the front as Kenny and Schurschin (sp?) are fading.

I'd say it was a pretty smart move with 2 Germans in the field. You'd figure that one would lead out the other. Notice how he never came off of Levy's wheel. There were some speed wobbles, but it seemed like he was set on riding the train.

Disappointed to see Queen Meares only take a silver but she injured her back so considering the circumstances its a good result. Big Matt Glaetzer did well, do you think hes on the rise?

the other performance worth noting, IMO, is jenn valente taking 5th in the omnium - she won the omnium pursuit. she's young, and if she has the support to develop for another four years, she could be a serious threat at the 2020 olympics. but rio might be a bit too soon for her.

But, the cool thing is that it seems that women get faster in their 30s as men are starting to slow down. So, I agree that her best years are still ahead of her.

So far the only USA TV coverage I have found is one hour next Monday on Universal HD. UCI stream is blanked out in US. Still searching for more coverage.

I think the original winter World Cup time table was to allow for Pro Roadies to race them. But, now, very few (if any) Pro Roadies race World Cup, so why bother accommodating their schedules?

I wonder if this has anything to do with that co-ed stuff that they were testing a while back.
