Northbrook - training nights?
I know there is a program on M evenings; what about Tu and W? The NB velodrome site only mentions Mondays. Do any of this training sessions towards a CAT 5 qualification? THANKS!

Friday Nights - show up and race! Or are you looking for more of a "get me prepped for the track" type program?
If you are, try making it out some weekend (let me know what day) and we can run through some warm-ups, pacelines, track basics, etc. I am happy to spin a few with anyone looking to get a nice intro to the track.
Things to bring for weekend rides:
1. Helmet
2. Water/Gatorade (or something similar)
3. Bike
I am not sure if any developmental programs are scheduled for the rest of the season, though.

one thing I missed - you start off at Cat5, so in order to obtain Cat5 status, you just register and race on Fridays

You need a track bike for the training nights (Mon or Tue); but there are some available to borrow. If you go 3 times to either night, you can qualify to race on Thurs. I went last night; 9 people, excellent structured workout, I am hooked. Now I need a bigger gear...

50x15! woo hoo!
I would actually throw into a Friday night development race too. that Cat3/4 field is pretty big - might be a good idea to get out on a Friday before jumping into Thursday. Safety/Comfort, then speed.
jst - any intentions of geting out there this weekend? let me know - I can meet ya
