6 Day Race

I'm looking for suggestions for books about the 6 day races. I'd particularly like a book that included history of the race as well as photos from around the 1890's and on.

Any help would be appreciated.

ISBN numbers would be the bomb.

Try "Hearts of Lions" by Peter Nye. There's also a documentary and book about six-day races coming out in about 3-4 months. It's called Six-Day Bicycle Race. There's a website by the same name out there.

I know it may not be what you're looking for, but figured id mention that there is some really cool six day race footage at the begining of the Merckx documentary La Course en TÍte. Shows some racing as well as the riders sleeping/shaving in little bunks in the in-field... maybe only like 20 seconds though. Awesome film also
