BTW, Dave, Exel Sports Boulder has the CH Aero disk wheel cover for like, sixty bucks.
Save up for the Zipps or Heds and save your money by riding this baby. It works!

Well it took long enough, but I finally got my carbon track bike. Pics to follow. Or check my sig.

Ironically, it's the same bike from post #7. Funny how this stuff works, huh?

I've learned, and ridden so much since then, I feel like a different person is posting.

I still have great lust in my heart for the Anchor PCM9, but I just can't justify it yet.

I've seen Corima's and BT's go down hard in crashes and get back up just fine (except for destroyed wheels). Probably depends on both the bike and the crash, but there are a lot of them being raced now.

If I were riding on concrete I'd stick with aluminum but that's just me.

+1

And nearly every Look I see crashed comes up with a broken fork. Ouch, that will leave a mark (in the wallet) every time.

HI regarding BT and ANchor, I havent riden any of them but i had gotten the pleasure to have them in my hands... nice machines but as many people might think, those 2 frames are quite heavy compared with a regular top of the line track bike or an aluminum one. Why? no clue... probably the scheleton of both is AL? probably inside has steel? Well that coudl explain why no damage in quite big accidents... no idea probably somebody knows the secret... The bikes should be super stables and stiff and with a lot of iniertia obviously...

U guys forgot to mention Colnago... Tange has a cool track carbon frame also... Ridley had one also (not anymore)... hmm... BMC has a bad ass track bike also.

Cheers...

ps: regarding LOOK... they are ok but as somebody said, they brake easily, and if u dont have an accident the frame will brake anyways, luckly carbon is easy to fix after all. The main problem with look is that the warranty sucks. Track frames looks like are out of any warranty so far my experience with a couple of federations, who bought look and somehow the frames got cracks. Solution? fix the **** ourselves because LOOK didnt want to do anything about it... 6 grands to the trash? no way hehehe

I quite like this one as well. Reminds me of the Look Athena.

Isn't the Dolan Arc and Teschner the same frame and fork. One mat finish, one high gloss finish?

Ted's Manhattan Beach Bicycles (my LBS) 110 N Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach. I was there yesterday and they didn't have the blue, matte finish one above in the shop as they did last week, but they had a black one with a gloss finish hanging on the wall. I rode past Bill Ron's shop, 807 Torrance Blvd, Redondo Beach,CA (1 block west of Prospect Ave., small shop in a small strip shopping center) https://www.billronbikes.com/, and he has a blue one hanging in the window.

The Dolan and the Techner are the same frame. Probably both made in Taiwan. One's sold out of Austrailia, the other from Liverpool.
