Info on track license ...

I found out about the usa cycling site and the license stuff...

I wanted to make sure that the one I need for track racing is: USCF Racer License

???

If someone is sure, please confirm, since it costs $ 60 ... lol

Sounds right, but I am double checking for you....

Yup, USCF Racer. It's for Road and Track (not Car and Driver)

Awesome.

Ordered it.

I heard the officials on the track talking about how I am a liability and that I am not allowed to race with the other guys even during practices because I need the license first.

Otherwise I am only allowed to race with other non-licensed riders......

I think you only need a license if you want to race in sanctioned events against other riders with licenses... its the politics of cycling.. lol

If you just want to go out there and ride, you don't need any license...... =)

well all federations have rules.. the question for me is... Novice racers... in what cat do that fall? or people that want to come back after like zillions of years in what Cat do they fit???? (me)

In my case I woudlnt like to race with novice guys... not because of the speed its because they have no experience at all and usualy those cats have falls every single week end...besides the most I have its experience... and a big GUT! well im not familiar with the american way to figure it out CATs so anybody could explain whats is that thing about??

Thanks...

UM just as you need to learn USCF catagories you should also
study US geography, Pennsylvania (I'm guessing Trexlertown) is about 2050 kilometers.
Not exactly a quick jaunt.
second week of may will be hot and humid, figure temperatures in the mid
30s

I said PA because is kind'a in the middle... L.A is too far fro may people... for me is a 48 hours driving or like 5 days... no way u know... I have no clue where r u located Lotek... so no idea if say that I dont know geography could reenforce your comment... obvioulsy if u like in Washington State or somewhere in the west coast it will be too far, make sence u know, but again... I have no clue where r u located

About miami... I used to live in tampa and I really hate miami wheater but since I might be going for 3 or 4 days... so what the heck, ill take my trrack bike anyways...! The ideal places for a meeting are the track where the WC was held... or maybe london canada... but well maybe its too far 4 u... it is far for me too but between L.A and canada or miami, Canada and miami r almost at the same distance from here (DC area) u know...

Dunno... maybe u have another idea or some proposal so we all could gather u know... it is cool met people that shares the same interests u know...

Anybody have ideas??
