Rookie gets a broken bone...

Hey, trackster, wanted to share my experience with you. I have done track just a few times, when I decided to do all of my interval trainngs at the track, for convenience and also safety (instead of being on the road in the darkness). So here I was in the midst of my 2 min intervals at LT, and after one of them, I stopped pedalling for half a second... My hands were wedged with the little finger outside of the handle bar... I heard a crack, a lot of pain in my hand... No fall. Finished my training (another 5 X 2 min set) and headed to emerg for a little x-ray. Yup, 5th metacarpal fracture. 5 weeks later, I am finally back to work.

Learning from my mistakes
Cheers, K

Ahhh, but the important bit is you finished yr training first... Props to ya for that. With a pain threshold like that you'll go far in track
