Albuquerque Veloport

Does anyone have any info on the "veloport" theyre building in Albuquerque? When it will be open and if it will be open to the public? I heard theyre building a 250m indoor track. I cruised past there this afternoon and all they have up is the bmx terrain and the entrance gate. Any info would be appreciated.

two blocks from my house. someday. supposedly. the city has had the velodrome for years, but nowhere to put it. now there are all kinds of problems with the whole velopark because the planning idiots at the city didnt submit updated plans to the neighborhood association, and now a bunch of poor old folks are getting their houses blasted with ****ty alt rock and annoying announcers from the bmx track. so who knows. hopefully next year? i'm getting a little old to start learning how to ride on a velodrome.
