boom is right. those cane creeks are viscious. they set off the bike like a balsamic reduction sets off a filet mignon.

heres mine. i bought this last week i havent ridden in 11 years. the guy told me he had it built it italy he's been riding track for 30 years and moving and had to downsize. i guess it says track **** in italian slang on it. its got a bunch of miche **** its a little modern for me my old bike was from the 70's with vintage dura ace stuff. i was used to a 49/16 but im 32 and fat so i figure the 46/17 will be ok. i probably wont be able to ride it around the block much less a velodrome. It has soem nice bars and one of those black modolo stems and ovaliezed tubing on the downtube. I wish the forks were tighter and i had some doublestrap metal toeclips but ill live. i have since dropped the bars and seat to suit my inseam. i have been out of this scene for along time and i went to the ss/fg site and whats up with that.... i raced alittle and was a messenger in D.C. NYC and Boston. you got some nice rides in this thread i cant speak for the other one. [IMG][/IMG]

I've done LOTS of housekeeping in this thread.

Let's keep the bikes legal for racing on the velodrome, otherwise the posts are subject to being deleted.

Photos of street fixed gear bikes go in this thread: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...-SS-FG-Photos!

well, here it is. i'll be spending the next couple of days gluing tires and cutting a couple lengths of chain for the season, but for the most part, it's a finished bike.

there was a vig out at opening weekend at kissena this weekend. i think for the price you can get a frame from the uk (600 shipped), it's a solid choice, besides the inevitable hipster image attached to it.

I have a bunch of wheels. That set is Zipp 808 Track.

I have 45-51t chainrings with 13-17t cogs. I manage to use all of them in some combination throughout the season (this is not uncommon, BTW).
