Here's my baby. Was at one of my LBS's (I patronize many) and they had a leftover S-Works Langster frame in my size for $425. I couldn't resist. Parts are a combo from my leftover parts bin (saddle and matching bar tape, pedals, front brake), mail order with xmas discounts (crankset/BB/chain/chainring/cog/bar/stem) for $475, and the wheelset which I got at a different LBS for $200. The LBS mechanic who sold me the wheels assembled everything for $100 labor. He threw in the tubes, tires, and front brake lever for free - not even negotiated. He seemed to have a special personal interest in the project (and I didn't even buy most of the parts from him). It came out beautiful, IMO. Kudos to Josh at Bustleton Bikes in Philadelphia. Adding to the smile on my face is that it only cost me $1200 including labor. I've only ridden it a couple times on the street. Can't wait to finally go to the local velodrome (Trexlertown. Something on my bucket list for years. Now I have to go - to justify the new bike in my stable!).

Considering the most labor intensive part (wheelbuilding) was already done, $100 is a quite a steep price to pay for having a track bike built up.

Buy it off a triathlete forum for bottom-bin pricing fair and square like I did.

hmmm, my first track bike (first fixed for that matter) Its a super budget build, but I'm going to sign up for some classes this coming season and see if I like it? looking forward to maybe flying 200m as I am a bit bigger (175) with some decent power? only running 86 gear inch right now, trying to improve my spinning! hey whats the deal with blackspire rings, are they a nice piece?

have to throw on my Izumi V and re-wrap the bars...I had some chromoly bars on there but thought I would try the aluminum bars and see if they are stiff enough.

also new wheelset being built now!

Amazing bike for an amazing racer!

What's the word on those Rotor track cranks?

The Rotor cranks are very light...about the same as Shimano, but they have outboard bearings that are specific to the crank. The keep the q factor down to 141.5. Incredibly stiff. They are what the SRAM crank should be.

That's what I suspected... but what is the point of having nice clean hubs if you have to look past a dirty ugly cloth band to see them??

I wish I knew...

Almost there. Do I need an aero set of wheels? No. Did I buy a set of aero wheels because they basically fell into my lap for a very reasonable price? Yes. I'll be playing catch up trying to get up to the level of this bike this season, but I'm very happy with how the build came out. Going to be ordering some tufo elite pulse tires soon, then it should be done!

Just picked up my new Felt TK3. I know...I know...worthless without pics. Just finished putting new bar tape and my saddle and pedals on. Dark out now but I'll definitely take and post pics tomorrow.

2012 Felt TK3

Trying to resize this so it fits, but hopefully this works. My new Felt Tk3. Going out for a ride in a few. Maiden voyage yesterday. Definitely have to learn how to ride a fixed gear again, it's been a looooong time. The bike is all stock at the moment except for the addition of my Shimano Ultegra pedals, Easton EA90 stem, Fizik Aliante saddle, and I also put Lizard Skins DSP bar tape on. Rides like a machine though.

Just built it up tonight. I'll likely spend the next month fine tuning the adjustments, but I think it'll work
