track racing in Colorado... a question....
I'm not sure if this is a stupid question. If it is, my apologies...
I live in Denver, have been riding a fixie for a while, and I'm really interested in trying my hand at racing. Anyways, I believe the Colo. Springs velodrome has a beginner's class/workshop at the start of the season. My question is: Can I start racing in the middle of the season? Do I have to wait for the beginner's class next year?
Also, are most people who race there members of a team? Does that matter?
Thanks in advance for the help!!!

If you were in Minnesota I would answer "Take the class, don't worry about a team for this year, and start racing." I don't know the track in CS although I expect things there are similar. Contact the track director with your questions. I'm sure he/she will be in the best position to answer your questions.
