the fuji track fork i put on my bike (because the other one broke) is unicrown and it works fine. 300 for a unicrown is a lot though- get carbon or custom lugged

yo, this is a track forum, ask about barspins in the ss/fixie forum. i already did that though (cause i too aspire to have a bike i can race on and barspin with), and so have tons of folk . basically your best bet is, if you have a 1 1/8 headtube, call up and special order the brooklyn machine works fork. if you have an old 1 inch headtube just get a older mountain fork (jenson usa had some for 6 bucks), they work great. if your gonna do barspins or any tricks that take the front wheel off the ground dont get a carbon fork- ive seen a few nice forks break under the "smashing" pressures when tricks arent exectued flawlesly.

Correct. Barspins are not allowed at the velodrome.
