    oh look, another wheel thread!

so I've been riding on my clinchers, without fear because there's nothing pointy to flat me on the track
after a break between efforts, I grab my bike to go back out and the rear is flat
    now I'm sufficiently freaked out

so if I'm buying tubular wheels, I might as well just get a quality set and be done with it

here are the sets and prices currently in the running

    Campy Pista aluminum----------(38mm 2105g)-----$665
    Kazane carbon--------------------(50mm 1550g)-----$875
    Zipp 404 used---------------------(58mm 1730g)-----$1000
    Cane Creek Sprint 85------------(85mm 1896g)-----$1200

any huge reason why any of these are far superior or inferior to the others on a quality per dollar basis?

Your choice depends on what you plan to use the wheels for. Is this for sprints? TT? Mass Starts? Everything?

Personally I was looking to get the Sprint 85s for all around use with a focus on TT Championship events, but never pulled the trigger yet. For pure mass start events, I would want some cheaper to replace like the Kazane or Zipp. Unfortunately, I have no experience with any of these wheels to speak to quality.
