I voted for the Cinelli. It just has that certain je ne se qua. The Super Pista would be a close second.

For racing the 09 FTP is a step above the rest of those frames.

The bianchi is a watered down concept, the masi is like the older fuji track pros, and I don't know much about the cinelli but to me it seems to fit into the same category as the bianchi; a "real" track frame for the street. And how can you say this is designed for anything but the track?

I think "no money involved" means those are all in his price range and doesn't care about differences in price between them, not unlimited cash.

Normally I wouldn't go that route but Fuji's definitely stepped up their game while the other companies are kind of lacking in areas to me. I wouldn't trade my Concept for anything but if I crashed it, I would certainly be looking at Fuji for a replacement.

I agree it is a good looking bike, But they shipped with chain stays that don't allow for clearance with a standard bottom bracket and crank.

I have one friend who bought the frame only- and the only way to keep his crank arms (omniums) from hitting the chain stay was to use a road double bottom bracket...

another friend bought the complete bike and we wanted to swap his 49t chainring to a 50t. the ring contacted the chain stays- I could understand if it was a tight tolerance and a 52t wouldn't clear... but 50t is pretty standard.
Fuji is replacing the frame- but they told him he will get the as yet not released '10 FTP and that they will be shipping him the Fuji Track Comp in the mean time...

To me this implies that Fuji knows that the '09 is a non-working frame....

They obviously designed the frame around a specific crank, which was stupid, but they fixed the issue already (did so last year, so the later 2009s didn't have any problems). There's no reason to think this'll be a problem with the 2010s.

Also, the thing about the road bottom bracket makes no sense. The Omnium uses an outboard bearing bottom bracket, which doesn't distinguish between "road," "double," or any other conventions of older bottom brackets.

I could of been wrong about them being "Omniums" but whatever they were, he had to use a wider BB and his Q-Factor was all jacked up

I am not suggesting that the '09s were not fixed or that the '10s will be wrong.... I am saying that rather than send my friend a fixed '09 they are sending him a FTC and then sending him a '10 FTP at a later date... seams that if they had '09 FTP's with the chain stay issue resolved they would solve the problem that way...

This is a warranty issue that was addressed just a few weeks ago.

I could buy this as some kind of an excuse- if the stock cranks actually worked. My friend with the Stock Complete could not use a 50t chainring. That is a very common chainring size! It makes the whole thing appear more like a mistake or oversight in my opinion...
