Difference between 2010and 2011 Marvic comete track disc - where to obtain front disc
In regard of the Marvic comete track rear disc there was a design change from 2010 to 2011. Does anybody know what that was about and how relevant that is?
Weight seems to be the same (approx 980g).
Also any sources known to obtain a comete front disc?

I think the major difference is the switch from a 15mm nut to an allen head bolt (like on the Io) to secure the disc. Personally, I prefer the standard 15mm nut. Use of the allen bolt will probably require a chain tensioner for stronger riders to use the disc.
They also went from the signature yellow oval "Mavic" sticker to a more subtle yellow rectangle.
Good luck finding them.

A buddy of mine says that the cone in which the allen bolt seats is not meant for lots of stress. He broke the cone on his Io torquing it down too much. Hopefully the cones are stronger now since they are being used on the rear. Otherwise, a chain tensioner will definitely be required.
