Anyone heard of these? Are they still prototypes? That would be pretty sweet if they were accurate! https://www.bicycling.com/bikes-gear/...o-power-pedals

In crashes pedals are one of the things that go pretty damn often. I would be weary of dropping a ton of money on pedals because of that fact, not to mention all the other issue I can image having a power based pedal.

I'm curious to see the inevitable study using a single bike equipped with power pedals, SRM cranks, and Powertap rear wheel. Right now, after using both SRM and Powertap, I'm a fan of SRM, especially because it can record as fast as ever 0.5". For some reason, all other manufacturers are happy with 1", even though it's a simply addition to the firmware to allow for more resolution.

Garmin also have something similar but like carleton said, it'd be interesting to see the numbers.

There have been sightings in the wild. Still quite limited and with a high price for a first generation release - RRP in the UK said to be 1499 GPB for the pedals and 1699 GBP with the Polar computer (required as the signal isn’t ANT+).
