What's the spectator situation like? I've never been to the DLV but would like to come watch some of the races.

It's free to watch any event excep our 3 Pro Races where admission is (I think) $5 for an individual and $10 for a family. This is to offset the cost of the cash payout for the racers.

It's handicap race where slower people are given a head start. The lower you place in the qualifying events, the bigger head start you get. This creates some dramatic finishes.

Race Program for Saturday May 5th:

D Grade 5 lap Scratch
C Grade 5 lap Scratch
A/B Grade 5 lap Scratch

D Grade Chariot(Top 6 to Keirin "A" Final, Next 6 to "B" Final)
C Grade Chariot(Top 6 to Keirin "A" Final, Next 6 "B" Final)
A/B Grade Chariot(Top 6 to Keirin "A" Final, Next 6 "B" Final)

D Grade Keirin
C Grade Keirin
A/B Grade Keirin

It would help to practice your standing (or slow-rolling starts) ahead of time to get used to the feel. Also make sure that your pedal tension is sufficient to keep from pulling out.
