Think trek will produce it? And not charge $5,000 bucks.

Let me regale with a quick snippet of a conversation I had in a lift (an elevator in North America).
A suit asks me what is a good bike for riding (recreational/racing)..
I say, well 'it depends on your budget'.
The suit replies 'Money is no object'.
The hair on the back of neck is now raised and I answer, a '70's Eddy Merckx'.
Confounded, he asks me what I ride...
'A track bike' (my accent is Australian)
'Oh, a Trek. I've heard of them'.
Doors open, he shuffles out.
Doors close.
