Experiences from velodromeshop.net?

Have any of you guys ordered from velodromeshop.net? not to be confused with velodromeshop.co.uk (brooks cycles)
Their prices seems very cheap along with free shipping is irresistible. I could too many reviews but most of the issues came from postage and shipping.

I'd stay away from them. I haven't heard good things.

For example: http://www.fixedgearfever.com/module...wtopic&t=10221

They are talking about velodromeshop.net.

I have also had relatively bad experience with velodromeshop.net. I got in a crash and needed a new helmet. Catlike helmets weren't available near me and they were the only dealer I could find. When I ordered it I waited a few days for it to ship and then emailed their customer service department for an update. They did not say this on the product page but apparently it was a 2014 item and wasn't authorized for sale until a month later. I had to wait for this helmet for over a month. It was a nightmare.

Sorry about commenting on an old thread, but I want to talk about velodromeshop and brookscycles

In my experience, velodromeshop has good service and shipping.
However, brooks cycles is horrible, they do not respond to email, but they are busy posting pictures or video on their Facebook.
Also they have a horrible shipping service.

So I recommend velodromeshop

Sorry about saying bad things about brooks cycles, but i was so frustrated with the service

I've had exactly the opposite experience. Would recommend Brooks Cycles, would not recommend Velodromeshop. Full disclosure, haven't ordered from either in a couple of years, so things might have changed.

Maybe brooks cycles was busy

Compared to everyone else's experience, I think you may have gotten then backwards.

Ive ordered from velo shop 4 or 5 times and they have screwed up the order twice (once in my favour).

For the price with free shipping to canada, Ill put up with them.

Brooks cycles finally replied to my email.
They said their was a problem with the passcode.
Maybe I was unlucky.

Free shipping is awesome, but I wish they have faster shipping with extra charge.

Likewise - GF had a great experience with purchases of both bike and wheels from Brooks.

I've made 2 orders from Velodromeshop and one was fine, the other was a real PITA. Much like others have described with issues around delivery times and tracking numbers.

Ordered a set of Scatto's from them. Arrived promptly and well packaged.

True. I usually forget about what I ordered by the time it shows up so its not so bad when they screw it up I guess :)

But you got the all the stuff you ordered? I found a helmet, Casco Speedster (color gunmetal) much cheaper than other sites so I figured it could be worth ordering from velodrome.net even though it seems a little bit sketchy. As long as I get what I order iŽll be satisfied. :)

gtrob 12-07-15 01:02 PM

Eventually, yes. I had a 13t DA cog that was ordered with some other things, and everything except the cog showed up....until a month later just the cog arrived lol

On the other hand Ive had tires show up literally 4 days after I ordered them.

I trust them with my money, I just don't hold my breath waiting for stuff.

crowax 12-07-15 01:07 PM

Hehe as long as I can trust them with my money I guess im fine. As long as the other stuff turn up eventually. :) I got a helmet that works in the meantime and I wont use the bike when it gets really cold.

Thanks for the quick answer!
