Portland's Dog Track Recycling

Well the Referendums, 82,83 to allow someone build a Casino on that property ,
went down in flames ..

I dont understand why Bike Mad Portland is not building a Velodrome inside ,
and that seems already an Oval shaped site.

Alpenrose being outside is no good in the winter, when the other countries
Europe and UK are having their Racing season.

And young rider development programs for the Next, Chris Hoy.

Maybe get the Keirin Hook for financing.. Gambling on the riders works in Japan.

They have (had) an enclosed dog track? I've never seen one that wasn't outdoors.

No the vacant lot is there, to be Built on..
(Casino Promoters had their Eye on it for their use.)

Olympic Track racing every 4 years, the US gets their Butts handed to them
because of the fair weather Tracks Out doors are dormant too long.
for use by the training the younger riders. Manchester UK is a Model.

Thanks. I was just curious. I'm a Thoroughbred racing fan, but have spent a lot of time in pari-mutuel facilities of all sorts over the years. So I was intrigued at the idea of an indoor dog track. I was envisioning a really cool old structure.

Latest update was 2009.

I know there's talk of a velodrome in Bend, but it looks to be an outdoor one and really just talk right now (from what I've read).
