new bmc track bike?
or is this another 6 day one-off?
BMCs are dreamy.
That is all.
Is that the Gent's 6 day event?
If they are BMC riders, they may be riding other manufacturers bikes with BMC decals. Some olympians did this, they ran different wheels, but had Mavic stickers.
The frame (lower pic) looks like the Boardman track bike, to me. Probably wrong.
The riders are in BMC kit (I think?) and I'd say they've put BMC decals on, I can't find anything on BMC's website about a track product.
yeah, gent 6. makes sense that they are rebadged whatever. thanks. was curious.
They're definitely not just re-badged frames, I was looking at those bikes last night, it's a BMC definitely, it has their trademark tubing. It's aluminium but has very nice, smooth welds. I wouldn't be surprised if they were just team frames, BMC have done that before, just making a few frames for their pros. I should have asked Adam Blythe about them but I didn't get time to. They're quite boring frames compared to BMC's usual frame designs.
Doesn't ride a Fixed Gear
Yeah, I seen a BMC track bike at the LBS near the track.
BMC Track Machine. Couldn't get much from it, as it was hanging from the rafters pretty high up.
It's not the BMC trackmachine, that's been out of production for years. This is either a prototype or a one off, but I think it's probably a prototype because of the UCI rule that says the bikes the pros ride have to be commercially available. So we may be seeing this frame on the market in the future.
Isn't that the opposite of what people normally do? Either the athlete is sponsored by Mavic and they run an IO/Comete pair, or they aren't and they take the stickers off the IO/Comete

On the other hand, it would make sense to run Mavics and badge them to your sponsor, from what I've read they're some of the best.
