What Brand of Bike is She Riding?

At 1:28, there's a good view of the Taiwanese Olympic track cyclist, but it looks as though the frame name has been painted/taped over. Anybody know why and/or what brand it is/was? Thanks.

probably not sponsored by them and they don't want to give them free advertisement.

Thanks. Interesting. Perhaps Cervelo didn't want their name associated with second-to-last place?

Cycling has a long history of de-branding, taping, re-branding, or otherwise disguising components for various reasons. Cervelo is probably thrilled that their bikes are being ridden by national teams at the olympics. But the team isn't inclined to keep a company's logo prominent if the company's not providing anything to the team.

Top teams like UK and France get a ton of money and support for bike companies. Their riders can basically design their own bikes with the world's top bike engineers. The UCI has rules trying to balance this out, but they do not work.

So smaller national organizations have to spend a ton of money just to get off the shelf bikes. There is no desire to help a company that is not willing to help them at all.

From what I remember it was a rule on last years olympics that equipament should have XX percent of branding on it. A lot of bikes, wheels, etc where debranded, maybe less ruff but debranded nonetheless.

oh yeah, i'd forgotten about that.
specialized worked around it by making their olympic-branded bikes bright freakin' orange.
