Kissena?
Hi, I'm going to NYC for 15 days and I'm thinking about hitting the Kissena track while there. Is it possible to do a day class and rent a bike? What sort of gear I need (should I take my shoes, pedals)?
I already train at my local track for more than a year so I'm not a freshman.
I'm asking here because I couldn't find any info at their site unfortunately.

You would buy a license unless you have one already, you can buy a 1 day license if you want (same used for road etc)
You MUST pay for the race I believe until 3pm the day of the race NO AT TRACK MONEY ALLOWED by NYC Parks dept rules.
Answers are pretty easy.
Racing is Wednesday nights at 6:30
Loaners are available for free (they are UNDER Geared)
Bring Pedals, Helmets, Shoes.
NO shade in the infield so bring your sunscreen, water etc.
Wednesday nights usually run 4/5 3/4 40+Masters, Juniors, Women ( Jrs & Masters swap off.
3 races, you can do more if the schedule allows.
Usually done by 8:15
July 6 they run an Omnium, that should be nice

There are some track clinics being offered too. There was one two weeks ago which I missed. I'm looking to sign up for the August session once registration is open.
