170 track SRM - 7710 Duraace non drive side arms on both bikes and spare 7710 driveside for when swapping the SRM. I also have 175 arms as I plan experimenting with the longer arms for pursuits.
172.5 on both the CX and commuter bikes.
175 on the road bike, TT bike and MTB.

I personally don't notice any difference with crank lengths across my bikes...

Doesn't mean there isn't though. Relatively recent study suggests there is in the "The time to reach supra-maximal peak power was significantly (P < 0.05) shorter in the 170 mm (2.57 +/- 0.79 s) condition compared to 175 mm (3.29 +/- 0.76 s). This effect represented a mean performance advantage of 27.8% for 170 mm compared to 175 mm"

Influence of crank length on cycle ergome... [Eur J Appl Physiol. 2010] - PubMed - NCBI

That's definitely the thing - I was thinking the same. It's kind of about primary purposes.

If my road bike was a bike that I was using to train for track racing, while riding on the road, then I'd want to match my crank length.

But it's not, it's a road bike that I use to ride as a road bike on the road, and race as a road bike in crits & RRs & stock TTs, and I don't expect that I'll use a bike the same way in road race that I'll use one in a track race, so I keep 'em separate.

So I've decided to go with Sugino 75's... Torn on colors!

Hahaha. I know there's the boring black/silver... But I kinda like the bronze.. Your opinions on bronze cranks on a black DF4?

Yes. It's a proper track crank.

Always a good thing. Be sure to keep them in your track bag.

also, PLEASE do this- it'd be rad.
I'd do it, but it'd kill the resale of my crank and I'm not allowed to do that. :/

We are doing a sprint omnium at our track to get the out between the different cats for the state points races. We need three sprint friendly mass start races(so no chariots, not matches) Any one got any ideas for races? I am still burned out from running our timed states, so my brain isnt working all that well.

Sprinter friendly just means short.

1) win-n-out. Simple and as sprinter friendly as it gets, typically 5 laps to first sprint.
2) paced keirins ... you don't need a motor, just have someone ride around in the front and pull off with 2 to go
3) scratch race ... just make it short
4) miss-n-out ... not exactly sprinter friendly, but sprinters can just go out early
5) short point a lap, that way they can get early points.
6) unknown distance ... again keep it short.

Basically any race, even a points race can be sprinter friendly if it is shorter.

What's the depth of choice for a carbon rim for larger track cyclists at you guys' local tracks?
Thinking of picking up a cheap Taiwanese front wheel to match with a disc in the rear.

I like 80mm (a la Zipp 808). I think that would be appropriate for you.

I built up a set with 28/28 88mm Light Bicycle rims. Most of my racing on them has been at outdoor circular style tracks. It was a bit of a shock to run them initially with being subject to wind, but after a couple of rides, I was able to become comfortable on them even when the winds were blowing. Probably more due to my 115kg weight making the wind less of an impact on myself compared to someone weighing closer to 60kg.

What are you guys using for cheapish track computers? I have a quarq/Garmin on the road bike, but won't be able to use that on the track as the GPS wouldn't work too well. Do most people just use a magnet for speed?
